A man has been arrested in the UK after allegedly supplying drugs to a patient without a licence, after an investigation has revealed he had taken Viagra for erectile dysfunction (ED).
The alleged victim, who was not named, was charged with supplying drugs to a patient without a licence after he was discovered to have taken tablets for an illegal import.
In November last year, a police report revealed he had supplied the patient with three ‘vials of sildenafil’ which he then sold to a supplier.
He had also supplied the patient with six more tablets for an illegal import of Viagra. The man has since been jailed for four-and-a-half years.
A further four tablets of Viagra were allegedly purchased from a pharmacy in north-east London by a supplier of sildenafil.
A statement from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in September said the suspect had ‘sustained possession of and supplied the following products which had been obtained from a pharmacy in north-east London’.
The CPS said the man had supplied the pills ‘to a customer’ and had been supplying them to the supplier for ‘Viagra’.
According to the CPS, the man had been seeking to buy Viagra for a man in the UK for over five years.
The CPS has confirmed that the man is currently in the process of committing to release the drugs from the supplier.
The CPS said it had received a report of ‘serious and serious’ injuries from the alleged victim, and that the man had ‘sustained possession of and supplied the following products which had been obtained from a pharmacy in north-east London’.

Objective:To assess the effect of Viagra on the sexual activity of patients with erectile dysfunction and to establish the appropriate dose of Viagra and its effects on sexual functioning. Study population: 30 patients (age mean 41 years) with a mean age of 35 years with no previous history of erectile dysfunction. Viagra was taken at a dose of 50 mg/day orally for five days. Patients were instructed to engage in daily sexual activity as per the guidelines of the International Erectile Dysfunction Questionnaire. The effect of Viagra on the sexual activity of the patients was determined using the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) questionnaire. Results: There was a significant improvement in the International Index of Erectile Function-5 score and the IIEF-5 score by the group receiving the highest dose of Viagra. The decrease in the IIEF-5 score was significantly more marked in the group receiving the dose of 50 mg/day and 50 mg/day doses of sildenafil, compared with the other groups. The incidence of adverse events was not statistically different between the two groups, except that the incidence of a decrease in the IIEF-5 score was significantly greater in the group receiving the highest dose of Viagra. Conclusions: The effect of Viagra on the sexual activity of patients with erectile dysfunction was not significantly different from that of the control group. In conclusion, the dose of Viagra and the duration of its effect on the sexual activity of patients with erectile dysfunction should be carefully selected.
